Supervisory Research Health Scientist

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Supervisory Research Health Scientist, you will use your knowledge of and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:

  • Interacting with other NCHHSTP senior staff and other Federal agencies regarding joint and collaborative approaches to program development at the national and international level.
  • Serving as Branch Chief responsible for planning, directing, and executing all Branch activities and services.
  • Being responsible for the technical quality, quantity, and timeliness of laboratory work; ensuring scientific rigor through critical review and acceptance or rejection of scientific products.
  • Leading a Branch of approximately 30 FTEs and supervising two laboratory teams with responsibility for approximately 29 personnel.
  • Making recommendations regarding resource allocation, operating costs, program priorities, long-range planning, and policy formulation.
