Paint Manufacturing Supervisor
The Paint Manufacturing Supervisor oversees daily paint manufacturing operations, including production scheduling, team leadership, and quality control. This role ensures safe and efficient production, supports employee development through training and performance evaluations, and maintains a clean, organized department. The supervisor also helps foster a strong safety culture and may receive training to develop skills as a paint tinter.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day paint manufacturing operations to ensure production goals and quality standards are consistently met.
- Plan and manage paint production schedules to align with demand and operational capacity.
- Lead, coach, and support production employees, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Conduct employee training to ensure staff follow production procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Perform performance evaluations and provide feedback to support employee growth and accountability.
- Ensure safe operation of all equipment and processes within the department by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain high standards of departmental housekeeping, keeping work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety requirements.
- Coordinate and oversee the use of forklifts and material handling equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Support continuous improvement efforts in production processes, efficiency, and quality.
- Collaborate with other departments as needed to ensure smooth production flow and timely order fulfillment.
- Participate in training to develop or enhance paint tinting skills, and support tinting operations as needed.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in manufacturing supervision or production supervision, with responsibility for leading a team.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise production operations, including scheduling and overseeing daily workflows.
- Forklift certification or the ability to obtain forklift certification, with experience safely operating forklifts.
- Strong leadership and supervision skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and support team members.
- Effective soft skills, including clear communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution.
- Commitment to safety and the ability to enforce safe work practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to maintain high-quality production standards and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn and be trained on how to become a paint tinter.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in paint manufacturing or paint tinting is a plus.
- Experience working with production equipment and material handling tools in an industrial setting.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Openness to ongoing training and professional development.

Work Environment

This is a Contract position based out of Decatur, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
