Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry/Stepdown position requiring a GA or compact license and at least 18 months of recent experience.
Responsibilities- Position is in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Stepdown setting within a hospital
- Care is provided to stepdown-level patients requiring cardiac and telemetry monitoring
- 12-hour night shifts are required
- No on-call responsibilities
- Assignment length is 13 weeks
- Strict rules apply for requested time off: a maximum of five days if not during a holiday period and three days if during or near a holiday
- Only one holiday time-off request will be approved per assignment
- Time-off requests spanning multiple consecutive holidays will not be approved
- Travelers can only submit to one position at a time within this health system
- Active GA or compact RN license in hand
- Minimum of 18 months of recent RN experience required
- Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
- Former staff must have been separated from Emory and Houston health systems for at least 1 year, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
