Job Overview

Benise-Dowling & Associates, Inc. seeks a positive, goal‑driven Business Development Manager to call on manufacturers in Georgia that outsource powder coating. The role reports directly to the Vice President and focuses on developing new business for the first several months. Success involves leveraging past and current relationships, attending trade shows and industry functions, and acquiring new business to increase sales volume.

A working knowledge of all processes is expected to better serve and sell to potential clients, and input for improving operations is welcomed.

Responsibilities
  • Support the estimating, project management, and quality management staff.
  • Develop new business and increase sales volume through outreach to manufacturers.
  • Use existing relationships, attend trade shows, and identify opportunities through client communication.
  • Prepare estimating labor rates, material costs, conveyor speeds, and related costs for powder coating projects.
  • Convert estimates to sales by identifying opportunities and delivering timely proposals.
  • Provide clients with ROI analysis to achieve a minimum close ratio of 20% annually.
  • Build long‑lasting client relationships and become their primary resource for services.
  • Manage vendor relations, understanding powder coating systems to source optimal coating solutions.
  • Develop qualified clients in predetermined market segments according to the company’s business plan.
  • Expand business through trade organizations, trade shows, and client networking.
  • Maintain consistent client relationships and act as liaison between client and project teams.
  • Preserve positive relationships with customers, employees, and suppliers.
  • Participate in meetings, committees, and educational opportunities as requested or required.
  • Travel may be required based on client needs and expectations.
  • Deliver all jobs at an established gross profit margin to meet company goals.
Qualifications
  • 2–4 year college degree preferred (5+ years industry experience considered in lieu of a degree).
  • Experience managing projects of similar size and scope to those targeted by the company.
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in the powder coating field.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, quality conscious, and safety‑ and customer‑service oriented.
  • Active listener with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organization and time‑management abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, One Note, etc.).
  • Unrestricted driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to meet obligations and deliver results.

Work Schedule

Full‑time, Monday – Friday.

Work Location
