As an Armed Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and care. ** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a healthcare location.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing updates with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions or policy violations.

+ Maintain an armed presence in accordance with post orders and Allied Universal guidelines, using sound judgment during patrols, access control activities, and incident response.

+ Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access, and support personnel and visitors with directions, information, and other customer service-related assistance.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + Be at least 21 years of age.

+ A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.

+ Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or possess a college degree.

+ Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.

+ Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
