The HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, cooling, and ventilation systems. They ensure systems operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all relevant codes and regulations. This role involves diagnosing issues, conducting routine maintenance, and providing excellent customer service.

• Installation and Setup
  • Install HVAC systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, and ductwork, in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
  • Perform wiring and ensure proper connection of electrical components.
• Maintenance and Repairs
  • Conduct routine maintenance, such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, and replacing filters.
  • Diagnose and repair system issues, including mechanical and electrical components.
  • Test system performance and ensure optimal functionality.
• Troubleshooting and Diagnostics
  • Use specialized tools to identify malfunctions and resolve them effectively.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Communicate clearly with clients about system conditions, repair options, and preventative maintenance tips.
  • Provide cost estimates and recommendations for system upgrades or replacements.
• Compliance and Safety
  • Adhere to local and national safety regulations and building codes.
  • Safely handle refrigerants and hazardous materials.
  • Maintain accurate service records and reports.
  • Complete work orders and ensure timely submission.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred (e.g., EPA certification).
• Proven experience as an HVAC technician or relevant role.
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and HVAC software.
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills.
• Strong physical stamina and manual dexterity.
• May involve working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Requires lifting heavy equipment and tools.
• May include evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
