Housing Specialist

This is a full-time on-site role for a Housing Specialist located in Decatur, GA. The Housing Specialist will manage daily responsibilities involving case management, and assistance with social housing and affordable housing programs. Responsibilities include assessing individual or family housing needs, coordinating with social service programs, assisting residents in obtaining housing options, and ensuring compliance with housing regulations and standards. The role also involves fostering relationships with clients, landlords, and community partners to facilitate successful housing outcomes.

• Strong expertise in Case Management to assess and support resident needs effectively.
• Experience in Social Housing and Affordable Housing programs, with a focus on helping individuals and families secure suitable accommodations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to work collaboratively with diverse populations and community stakeholders.
• Experience in conducting needs assessments and ensuring compliance with housing regulations is a plus.
• Proficiency with relevant software and technology used in housing programs and case management systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, or a related field is preferred. Relevant experience may be considered in place of formal education.
