Description

The Healthy Living Coach Assistant (HLCA) will work closely with the Healthy Living Director (HLD), assisting members across all exercise programs. The HLCA plays a crucial role in developing and supervising the WellFIT program—group fitness and personal training—supporting daily operations and marketing to ensure a 5‑star member experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with special event programming, implementation, and evaluation of programs.
  • Maintain cleaning schedule and equipment upkeep for all multipurpose spaces.
  • Replenish spray bottles, replace cleaning towels, provide sweat towels, put equipment away.
  • Navigate Microfit and Booker by Mind Body software.
  • Monitor group fitness pass sales and registration via Mind Body.
  • Monitor class attendance via Mind Body.
  • Coordinate participant evaluations/surveys for group fitness classes.
  • Assist with scheduling communications/conflicts among the outside Fitness Instructors.
  • Maintain inventory for usable items (batteries, cleaning solutions, music, promo items, etc.).
  • Assist in leading In‑Services/Trainings to Holbrook residents.
  • Monitor personal training sales and registration.
  • Assist with communication regarding personal training sessions/new client assignments.
  • Create custom exercise programs for a variety of demographics.
  • Perform WellFIT assessments as directed by the HLD.
  • Conduct monthly weigh‑ins.
  • Work in a fun environment with constant change and different scenarios.
  • Write for our resident newsletter and KIOSK.
  • Assist instruction of Small Group classes.
  • Assist instruction of Personal Training.
  • Assist in marketing, including attending fairs, events, or handing out collateral.
  • Develop health education resources for our customers.
  • Complete reservations, check‑in, and check‑out procedures accurately and with service excellence.
  • Front Desk coverage; schedule spa treatments, salon, wellness, and fitness services at guest request using Booker by Mind Body software.
  • Report and document any observed or known safety hazards, conditions or unsafe practices and procedures to management immediately.
  • Work well in fast‑paced environments, high‑pressure situations while maintaining composure and objectivity.
  • Demonstrate exceptional follow‑up abilities and ownership of tasks assigned with a strong attention to detail.
  • Follow‑up with the specific CHL Director on all comments, concerns and suggestions made by guests, members, and associates.
  • Able to address complaints and resolve guest problems in the absence of CHL Directors.
Requirements
  • At least 21 years of age or older.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Currently a rising college senior with a major in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related science‑focused degree.
  • Actively pursuing a degree from an accredited college/university or graduated within the past 12 months.
  • Completion of all core exercise science courses if a student.
  • Current Group Fitness and/or Personal Trainer certification through a nationally recognized organization (AFAA, ACE, ACSM, NASM, etc.).
  • Experience teaching group fitness classes and/or personal training.
  • CPR/First Aid certification, preferably AEA.
  • Able to work holidays, weekends, mornings, and evenings as needed for at least 20 hours per week.
  • Excellent customer service and hospitality skills.
  • Reliable and time‑conscientious.
  • Teachable and eager to learn and expand the current skill set.
  • Practice self‑care that models a healthy lifestyle.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Proficient in Windows software, social media, telephone equipment, and copy/fax.
  • Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Operate with integrity, patience, tact, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude toward guests.
