Job Opportunity In Global Business Services Settlement Department

Position Summary:

The Global Business Services settlement department has an opportunity for you to become part of a team that offers a variety of responsibilities and challenges. The Settlement area is responsible for maintaining Export accounts for multiple ADM locations and outside trade customers. This includes all transactional responsibilities related to contracting, payment, and invoicing of corn, soybeans, wheat, rice, and soybean meal, along with all freight, brokerage, and demurrage transactions.

Job Requirements:

• Develop knowledge of grain, soybean meal, freight, brokerage, and demurrage settlement practices and procedures
• Demonstrate strong analytical abilities, initiative, and problem solving skills, adapt to a rapidly changing work environment
• Possess a proven track record of being dependable, reliable, able to meet strict deadlines, and a strong dream to help others including internal and external clients
• Good organizational skills with the ability to function in a collaborative team environment
• Knowledge of ADM Accounting Systems including Agris, J.D. Edwards, OPGO/FCGO/PCGO, A/P, and A/R preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Basic understanding of NGFA Trade Rules preferred
• Basic understanding of U.S. Waterways and Logistics
• An Associates degree in Accounting or Business is preferred
• Minimum of three years of ADM experience or equivalent is preferred
• Working Knowledge of Agris, J.D. Edwards, OPGO/FCGO/PCGO/IMS/CICS and MS Office suite is preferred

Responsibilities:

• Complete IDT Settlements for Terminal and Fleeting locations
• Process contract changes, washes and cancellations
• Process and pay freight, demurrage and broker bills
• Process wire advances
• Process ARTCo payables and receivables
• Ability to learn ARTCo logistics reports
• Ability to learn Agris settlement functions
• Ability to learn OPGO/FCGO/PCGO/IMS/CICS Data entry and inquiry
• Ability to learn J.D. Edwards with ability to inquire and processes AR reports
• Work closely with all GBS colleagues to ensure excellent customer service
• Work closely with Dispatchers to ensure accurate barge and boat movements
• Assist all customers, merchandisers and other personnel in a professional manner
• Look for continuous improvement opportunities in Export settlement processes and procedures
• Cross train on other Settlement responsibilities
