Customer Experience Account Manager

Mueller Water Products, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Account Manager for our Customer Experience (C/X) Team. The role focuses on providing in‑person and remote support to established distribution partners and customers – no cold‑calling or outbound sales. The position is located at our Shared Services office in Decatur, Illinois and reports to a Customer Experience Supervisor.

• Assess and address external customer needs via phone or email, including stock checks, expedites, technical support, order history tracking, shipments, order entry, and product applications/limitations.
• Resolve customer complaints and issues, handling all related paperwork and follow‑up until process completion.
• Act as liaison between territory managers/customers and Mueller manufacturing plants, coordinating with Planners and Manufacturing Department Heads for expedite requests and lead times.
• Listen to customer needs and recommend Mueller products that fit the requested application.
• Perform additional duties as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills with a customer‑oriented approach.
• Intermediate computer proficiency and quick learning ability.
• Team‑player with ability to gain trust and respect across locations.
• Organizational and time‑management skills.
• Availability to use a phone/headset for up to eight hours per day and minimal travel (
