TITLEStudent Interventionist
JOB GOAL- Provide prevention and intervention behavioral plans for identified at‑risk elementary, middle, and high school students, including implementation and monitoring of plans.
- Support school social workers, teachers, staff, students, and parents.
- A bachelor’s degree in human services, counseling, psychology, social work, education, or a related field.
- A master’s degree or license in social work or counseling is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to carry out multiple responsibilities, ranging from one‑on‑one counseling to family meetings to workshops for students and families.
- Proven ability to build relationships with diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic students and families.
- Strong verbal, written, and listening skills to establish trust and build rapport in diverse settings.
- Ability to develop personal/social skills plans for individual students (e.g., character education, motivation, goal setting, conflict management).
- Demonstrated time and project‑management skills in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to teamwork and collaboration with diverse groups.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and current technology skills.
- Reliable transportation.

- Collaborate with the Problem Solving/Behavioral Intervention Team and Grade Level teams regarding students struggling academically due to behaviors.
- Collect, maintain, and submit data records, reports, and assignments promptly for evaluation and program assessment.
- Keep the Director informed about progress or concerns of identified students.
- Communicate with administration, support staff, and teachers about identified students’ performance before, during, and after interventions.
- Provide progress‑monitoring information to parents and school to make recommendations regarding individualized student interventions.
- Offer classroom management strategies and support to teachers.
- Execute interventions from a culturally competent and equitable perspective.
- Conduct home visits as needed.
- Develop and implement individual and small‑group intervention and prevention strategies to reduce behavioral challenges.
- Provide individualized behavioral support (e.g., Check‑in/Check‑out, intervention plans, adjusted schedules).
- Facilitate wraparound service support plans for identified students.
- Serve as a participant of the Alternative Education transition team.
- Maintain confidential case files, notes, and records.
- Meet regularly with identified students and/or families to discuss behavioral goals, plans, and support systems.
- Provide behavioral strategies to students and families.
- Act as coach, counselor, guide, problem‑solver, and case manager for identified students.
- Utilize local agencies and resources to enhance services.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
