ELA Teacher

Duties

Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Junior High ELA Teacher for the  school year. This position includes teaching English and Literature in grades 6-8, along with serving as a homeroom teacher. We are looking for a teacher who can build strong relationships, maintain clear expectations, and contribute positively to a collaborative school culture rooted in Catholic values.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan and deliver engaging instruction in assigned subject areas

* Create a structured, supportive, and well-managed classroom environment

* Build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

* Serve as a homeroom teacher and support student development

* Collaborate with fellow faculty members to support school-wide goals

* Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events

* Uphold the mission and values of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School

Qualifications

Qualifications:

* Valid Illinois teaching license (or working toward licensure)

* Middle school (grades 6-8) endorsement preferred

* Commitment to Catholic education and values

Salary/Benefits

$34,500 - 85,000 based on educational level and experience
