The Children's/Youth Ministry Director must be a committed follower of Jesus Christ who is actively seeking to grow in his/her own faith and lead by example so that children and youth are led to be followers of Jesus Christ.

Responsibilities:

• Staff Sunday morning nursery and Sunday School classes.
• Plan and direct Anchored Kids, Children's after‑school program, held once a week during the school year.
• Plan and direct summer Vacation Bible School.
• Plan and direct Anchored Youth, Youth after‑school program, held once a week during the school year.
• Plan and direct weekly meetings with Youth for Sunday School and additional events and activities.
• Conduct monthly meetings with Children's and Youth Ministry Team.
• Recruit additional adults to assist with Youth activities.
• Communicate with congregation about Children's and Youth activities.
• Attend Staff meetings and Church Council Meetings.

Education / Experience:

• Candidate must be working toward a degree in ministry, or have a degree in ministry, or have experience working with children and youth in a church setting.

Hours:

• Flexible hours set by the Director – 24 hours per week.
• The Director will schedule and communicate regular weekly hours.
• The Director will also be present on Sundays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and some Saturdays when Children's and Youth Ministries are meeting and when events are planned by the Education team.

Salary $20.50 per hour
