• Support for root cause investigation of field issues, design of solutions, release and implementation of solutions.
• New product concepts, design development, and implementation.
• Current factory issue support, design & process issue investigations, and supplier support.
• Creo Modeling & Drawings for designs. Collaboration with internal and external process partners.
• FMEA, APQP, PPAP Support

• Provides drivetrain design support for Large Mining Trucks, Off-Highway Trucks, and Wheel Tractor Scrappers.
• Supports current product issue resolution for final drives, differentials, brakes, wheel groups, torque converters, transmissions, and electric drive systems.
• New product development support for the above mentioned drivetrain products.

• Years of experience: 8+
• Degree requirement: BS Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent

• Creo modeling and drawings
• Critical thinking problem solving
• Mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of rotating component design
• Understanding of design, manufacture, and assembly of rotating components

The pay range for this role is: 85,000 - 90,000 USD per year (Caterpillar - Decatur)
