- Execute and support the design, test, manufacture, and commissioning of low and medium voltage switch gear that controls multiple generators which parallel to one or more utility sources
- Provide direction to CAD designers to create wiring and assembly drawings for generator paralleling switch gear controls
- Interact with internal and external customers, accomplishing project milestones
- Create bill of materials for generator paralleling switch gear controls in ERP system
- Create PLC programs for control of generator paralleling switch gear
- Execute multiple projects simultaneously
- Design, test, and commission custom switch gear and generator control systems
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- 3-5years experience required.
- Open to2 year degree’swithin EE with 5+ years of experience
- Internships will not be counted
- Open to Master’swith 3+ years of experience
- Ability to create PLC programs using one of the IEC 61131 PLC Programming languages i.e. Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Structured Textor any other PLC programming language
- Design, test, and commission control systems. i.e. systems with different PLC controllers in the same system, experience interfacing, designing controls with different manufacturers
- Develop control software utilizing various PLC platforms. Expert knowledge on at least one of the following PLC platforms. Schneider Momentum, M340, M580, AB Control, Compact Logix, Woodward MSLC, DSLC, Easy Gen, and LS5 Architecture
- Interpret customer specifications and drawings, and apply them to design platform while considering industry regulations and requirements
- Customize PLC software and hardware templates
- Understand in detail the applicable NEC, UL 508, UL 891, UL 1558, UL MV, CSA 22-2, and ANSI requirements and their applications in switch gear controls
- Understand protective relays, their functions associated with Generator, and Utility protection applications
