Position Overview
This position will require the engineer to work within the Failure Analysis & Met Lab groups and contribute to the immediate AMT Decatur team as well as internal and external process partners.
Payrate$32.00 - $33.00/hr.
Typical Task Breakdown- Part or project identification. Material management. Print interpretation. Test plan development. Nondestructive evaluation. Destructive evaluation & testing. Documentation. Communication. Work with laboratory, internal quality engineers, external suppliers & customer.
- Bachelor of Science in Metallurgical or Materials Science Engineering
- Preferred candidates would include 3+ years of previous experience

- Microscopy
- Metallography
- Non Destructive Evaluation
- Mechanical Testing
- Hardness Testing
- SEM / EDS
- Decision Making & Critical Thinking

Typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is $32.00 - $33.00/hr non‑exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts are determined by factors including relevant skills, education, and experience.
