Electrical Designer (Former Caterpillar Experience Required)
We are actively seeking Electrical Designers with prior experience working at Caterpillar to join our team in Decatur, IL. This position is ideal for professionals with a strong background in CAT machine electrical design and a high level of proficiency with CREO electrical tools. The role emphasizes familiarity with CAT-specific products and processes, as highlighted by internal sponsor Donna (WD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for CAT machines using CREO electrical tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical components with overall machine design.
- Perform testing and validation of electrical systems to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance with Caterpillar's quality standards.
- Provide ongoing technical support and assist in troubleshooting electrical design-related issues.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Caterpillar products, standards, and internal processes.
- Ensure all designs meet industry regulations and Caterpillar specifications.
Required Qualifications:
- Former Caterpillar experience is mandatory.
- Proven expertise in electrical design for CAT machines.
- Strong proficiency in CREO electrical tools.
- Deep understanding of Caterpillar products and internal processes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and high attention to detail.
- Strong team collaboration and communication abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in heavy machinery, construction, or mining equipment industries.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations governing electrical systems.
