Schedule:
First shift We need someone who can relocate to Mossville, IL from day-1 at their own cost.
Position's Contributions to Work Group:
- Primary responsibilities include maintaining close interaction with the LMT assembly areas to communicate engineering issues created during manufacturing/assembly processes. This position is responsible for communicating engineering issues created during manufacturing/fabrication/assembly processes to the responsible Engineering Team primarily in the form of Assembly Quality Events (AQE), Built In Quality (BIQ) issues and projects, and Continuous Improvement (CI) cards and is accountable for their successful resolution by collaborating with Operations, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
The First Responder is also responsible for machine-level prints (paint and lube, General arrangement prints, Test instructions, etc.) and bill of material (BOM) updates, virtual print, attending shop floor voice of customer (VOC) meetings, and supporting prototype and pilot machine builds that are part of a New Product Introduction (NPI). Will be responsible for creating and getting authorization for deviations implemented to resolve design issues.
Will occasionally perform pre delivery audits (PDA) of finished assemblies which includes marking the issues found, working with the operators to immediately fix the issues, performing static torque checks, and documenting by compiling a report with part numbers and model snapshots.

Typical Day or Week in the Role Typical task breakdown:
- Candidate will be responding to issues on the shop floor. Most time is spent addressing AQE's that are assigned to engineering and responding to any questions/issues directly from the shop (section managers, auditors, assemblers, and the manufacturing, quality, and supplier quality engineers). Will communicate and collaborate often with the design teams through email and Teams chat/calls/meetings to resolve design issues.
Time spent on shop floor and desk varies depending on need. Will partake in weekly AQE, BIQ, and warranty review meetings. Core hours are 7:00-3:30 with some flexibility. Position will be ONSITE day 1.

Work environment:
- Office environment and manufacturing floor environment – Eye, Hearing, Hand and Foot PPE are required.

Required:
- Years of experience: 0
-2 years
- Degree requirement: AS or BS in a manufacturing or engineering discipline

Skills:
- (1) 0-2 years of overall experience (project and internships may be included).
- (2) At least 0-2 years machine assembly/processing experience.
- (3) Should have at least a basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Good knowledge of basic software (Word, Excel, PowerBI and PowerPoint).
Additional Technical
Skills:
- Previous experience with machine design/process design, previous Engineering coordination activity experience, use of Vis View, use of Tea Client enter is a plus. Exp with: PRWB, Tableau (view AQE's), Decatur Web Apps, Access to MES, Access to AQE, ETQ Reliance Portal (Deviation), CPI-BIQ, I-Cubed, CI processes, Parts Discovery Tools. NPI and BIQ experience.
- Differentiation Factor:
Experience with the assembly operation side of industrial manufacturing.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication, both written and oral. Manage shifting priorities while maintaining good interpersonal skills in a team environment. Must possess ability to learn quickly and be willing to work with operations/shop floor daily.
Desired:
Proven level-headed approach to problem solving. Calm and professional under pressure.
