A leading international law firm with a global reputation for excellence in energy, infrastructure, and large‑scale project development is seeking a Senior Associate (5+ years PQE) to join its Chicago office. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced attorney to lead on complex U.S. and cross‑border projects in the energy, mining, infrastructure, and commercial real estate sectors.
Position OverviewThe successful candidate will manage high‑value project development and construction transactions, draft and negotiate sophisticated engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contracts, and oversee multi‑site project rollouts. The role also involves client relationship management, training client teams on best practices, and supervising junior lawyers and staff.
Ideal Candidate Profile- Minimum 5 years of relevant law firm experience
- Proven expertise in drafting, negotiating, and managing large‑scale design and construction contracts (U.S. and cross‑border), including projects valued over $50M
- Deep experience in the energy, mining, infrastructure, and commercial real estate sectors
- Strong background advising on claims, risk management, and contract standardization for multi‑site and Latin‑American projects
- Excellent project‑management and leadership skills
- Admission to practice law in Illinois
- Lead on high‑value, cross‑border infrastructure and energy projects
