We are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to support a high-volume heavy manufacturing facility. This role is more advanced than a typical maintenance position and requires strong multi-craft maintenance skills with a heavy emphasis on electrical troubleshooting. Maintenance Technicians play a critical role in maintaining equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and supporting continuous production in a rural manufacturing environment.
This position works directly with operations and controls engineering to support production equipment, preventive maintenance programs, and improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair production machinery and plant equipment
- Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs during active production
- Execute scheduled and preventive maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, control circuits, and electrical panels
- Diagnose electrical issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools
- Apply advanced skills in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions
- Replace defective components, test systems, and make required adjustments
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, multimeters, and material handling equipment
- Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and plant policies
- Keep maintenance areas clean, organized, and production-ready
- Collaborate with controls engineers on troubleshooting, PMs, and project work
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Electrical fault diagnosis and repair
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Troubleshooting control circuits and motor controls
- Experience with electrical panel wiring
- Use of diagnostic tools such as multimeters
- Root cause analysis and corrective action implementation
- High school diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
- Completion of a craft apprenticeship
- Equivalent combinations of education, certifications, or hands-on manufacturing maintenance experience will be considered
- Associate degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Maintenance
- 5+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience
- Experience with VFD and servo drive systems
- CNC machine maintenance and troubleshooting experience
- PLC troubleshooting experience
