* ** Maintenance/Millwright, West Plant - Decatur, IL
** This is a full time, hourly position.
Shift(s) Available:
Will train on 1st shift Mon-Fri. After training, will go to a backshift based on availability. Could be 2nd shift:
Wed-Sun 3PM - 11PM, 3rd

Shift: Fri-Tues 11PM-7AM, or Relief

Shift: Mon/Tues 3PM-11PM, Wed/Thurs 11PM-7AM, OFF Fri/Sat, Sun 7AM-3PM    Must have ability to work any shift, overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice as needed. The shift schedule includes an 8-hour, 10-hour or 12-hour shift on a rotational or swing schedule (i.e., seven-day swing and/or rotational).

* Job Summary:

** The Maintenance/Millwright position will provide support of preventative and failure-based maintenance as required by the plant's needs. Installs and maintains machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools and power tools. The position works to accomplish priorities of day-to-day operations and resolve related problems. Assist with reliability troubleshooting as needed.

* Essential Job Functions:

*
* * Repair/troubleshoot equipment of varying types
* Repair belt and chain drive assemblies
* Proficient welding skills with wire techniques (minimum.)
* Proficient with field fabrication and construction.
* Basic knowledge of all hand tools
* Basic knowledge of equipment alignments/PM's
* Basic working knowledge of shop machinery is helpful
* Forklift driving experience is helpful
* Watch for and report all safety issues
* Follow all GMP and HACCP policies
** Requirements:*
* * Prior experience in a manufacturing environment, and/or a strong mechanical background to include a minimum of 3-5 years of hands on maintenance and/or millwright experience
* Technical school training as mechanic or equivalent highly desired
* Willing and able to take formal trade school courses as selected by ADM management and take such courses on a continuing basis during the training period
* Exhibit regular and prompt attendance and maintain attendance record in accordance with company policy
* Experience in manufacturing, production and/or similar military environment (preferred)
* Must be 18 years or older
* Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
* Ability to understand and effectively communicate in English (verbal/written)
* High School diploma or equivalent (preferred)
** Preferred Skilled, Not

Required:

*** Basic welding, layout and fabrication skills
* Experience with V-belt and Chain drive
* Machine troubleshooting and repair skills
* Experience with 480 volt - 3 phase motor circuits
* Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge a plus
* Knowledge of HVAC systems, and/or electrical background
** On-The-Job Training Requirements:
*** New colleagues will need to undergo on-the-job training to acquire skills and certifications, which will be assessed according to established standards
* Complete ADM safety, food safety, quality, and environmental training
* Participate in company planner operations training
* Equipment training may include but not limited to JLP, Forklift, Non-DOT Truck, Reach Lift, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.
