Overview
Machinist. Perform general machining/modification of aircraft sub-components according to the aircraft/manufacturer’s specifications and/or engineering specifications and development of special tooling and fixtures related to special projects as directed by Engineering or designated supervisory personnel.
What You Will Be Responsible For- Create, modify, and download CNC programs by inputting instructions and configuring tool registers, offsets, compensation values, and conditional switches; apply basic math, geometry, and trigonometry to calculate machining requirements and generate part programs.
- Program, set up, and operate CNC machining equipment to perform precise milling, drilling, threading, sawing, and boring operations.
- Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical manuals to ensure accurate machining processes.
- Collaborate in the design and fabrication of specialized tooling required to complete assigned tasks.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with shop standards.
- Accurately complete all required documentation related to production and quality control.
- All other duties as assigned.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience operating milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, jigs, and other machine shop power tools.
- Demonstrated experience with HAAS control systems.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining principles, including speeds/feeds and tooling.
- Mathematical competence, including algebra, geometry, and trigonometry, for part setup and verification.
- Skilled in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and indicators.

CompensationThe anticipated salary range for this position is $27.15 to $33.68 hourly. This range reflects the base pay for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location.
