Description

The Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor – CNC, Robotics & Assembly leads all manufacturing engineering activities supporting CNC machining, robotic cells, and assembly operations producing outdoor furniture and related products from HDPE sheet and lumber. This role is accountable for process capability, throughput, quality, labor efficiency, and equipment utilization, while developing standardized, scalable manufacturing systems and leading a cross‑functional engineering team.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and manage manufacturing engineering resources supporting CNC, robotic, and assembly operations
  • Own process performance, capacity, and efficiency across machining and assembly assets
  • Set technical priorities aligned with production, quality, and cost targets
  • Establish and maintain standards for CNC programming, fixturing, robotic cells, and assembly processes
  • Oversee launches of new products, fixtures, robotic programs, and assembly lines
  • Partner with Operations and Maintenance to improve uptime, OEE, and labor productivity
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on throughput, scrap, ergonomics, and safety
  • Approve and manage process changes, tooling modifications, and automation upgrades
  • Develop engineering and programming talent through coaching and performance management
  • Support capital planning for CNC equipment, robotics, fixtures, and automation system
Requirements QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • 3‑5+ years of experience in CNC machining, automation, and/or assembly manufacturing
  • Prior experience leading manufacturing or automation engineering teams
  • Strong understanding of CNC machining, fixturing, robotics, and assembly system design
  • Proven ability to lead multi‑shift, high‑mix manufacturing environments
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional teams in a collaborative environment
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • CNC routing or machining of plastics, wood‑plastic composites, or similar materials
  • Robotic assembly cells and automated fastening systems
  • Lean manufacturing, industrial engineering, and line balancing
  • Capital project leadership and automation integration
