Purpose:

The Frontier Product Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day execution of production activities within the Frontier production area to ensure customer demand and scheduled requirements are met safely, efficiently, and on time. This position provides frontline leadership by coordinating employees, equipment, materials, workflow, quality, and production priorities to keep Frontier production lines running and maximize the timely completion of finished units.

Department Coordinator serves as the primary operational leader on the production floor, and direct communication to the Production Manager any challenges or concerns. The coordinator is responsible for the execution of all Frontier and licensed product that are scheduled through department 41.

Prerequisites:
  • Complies with all Agri-Fab policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to workplace safety and promotes safe work practices among team members.
  • Interacts in a positive, professional, and cooperative manner with coworkers, customers, and management. Directly communicate with Sales orders that are ready to ship.
  • Participates in required training and meetings, maintains compliance with annual safety training requirements.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives and actively contributes ideas to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment while ensuring team members follow housekeeping and 6S standards.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Communicates concerns regarding safety, quality, equipment, inventory, or production issues in a timely manner.
  • Cross trains and maintain proficiency in departmental operations.
  • Works overtime, weekends, and holidays as required to meet business needs. Reliable attendance.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide team members.
  • Must have a valid driver's license to obtain a fork truck certification.
Essential Functions:

Leadership
  • Leads daily team meetings and communicates safety, quality, production, and continuous improvement objectives.
  • Assists with employee training, cross-training, onboarding, and development.
  • Support and reinforce standard work practices throughout the department.
  • Delegates work assignments and balances manpower to achieve departmental goals.
  • Monitors work orders and schedule to ensure completion and department is staying up to date with facility needs. For first shift and second shift team members.
  • Address and problem solve for any QC issues. Participates in NCR meetings.
  • Monitors employee performance and provides coaching to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
  • Maintains regular communication with the Production Manager regarding departmental performance, staffing needs, and operational concerns.
  • Schedules work orders and machines to meet the needs of the customer.
  • Communicate with outside departments to achieve goals.
  • Manages employee time sheets, UKG, and approval of vacation.
  • Employee coaching to ensure goals are met, regular communication to the Production Manager any issues that involve personnel or equipment.
Quality Assurance/Document Tracking
  • Monitors departmental quality performance and ensures compliance with work instructions, process sheets, and customer requirements.
