Pediatric Registered Nurse
Position for a Pediatric Registered Nurse working on a night shift. The unit consists of 11 rooms and accommodates 16 beds. Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience. First-time travelers are accepted. Weekend work is required every other weekend. The clinician will float as needed within scope to meet facility needs. Local candidates are accepted without any radius restrictions.
Candidates must have experience in Pediatric Med Surg and Pediatric Step Down or Telemetry. Additional required skills include hyperbilirubinemia management and insulin administration. Experience in supporting breastfeeding and managing oral/nasogastric tube placements is necessary. Candidates should be proficient in starting and maintaining IVs. This role also requires knowledge in pediatric dosage calculations and infection prevention protocols. Candidates will work with a diverse patient population, including neonates, infants, and adolescents.
The daily census ranges from 1 to 6 patients, with a patient ratio of 4:1. The hospital is a teaching facility and a level II trauma center.
