The Summer Nurse Intern at Decatur Memorial Hospital will work under the direct supervision of an RN to provide age-appropriate care for a designated group of patients through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation, building foundational nursing skills.
They will collaborate with the RN to assimilate data, develop critical thinking, and perform tasks within the Nursing Technician scope once competency is validated; medication administration and IVs are not allowed.
