Salary Range: $44,000.00 To $45,000.00 Annually

• Use micrometer to determine ribbon thickness contour.
• Use ream comparator to check ream.
• Measure distortion visually with a zebra board or pattern comparison test equipment.
• Use striae scope photographic equipment to evaluate transmitted distortion.
• Use spectrophotometer to measure transmittance and color characteristics of glass.
• Use furnace to bend glass to check bloom.
• Use gloss meter to check the “W” coverage.
• Check top tin using baby powder.
• Check warp using a taper gauge and surface plate.
• Weigh ribbon section of glass used in the calculation of tons per day.
• Check 40” caps for seeds.
• Complete surface checks using edge lights, green lights, reflective lights, transmitted lights or other designated lighting to prevent shipment of reject quality to customers.
• Use a scum chamber to test tin surface for irregularities.

• Must have a high school education.
• Must have adequate working knowledge of mathematics; must have mental ability to obtain working knowledge of all equipment used and must be tactful and courteous in dealing with production personnel.
