JOB TITLE: Overlook Adventure Mini Golf Cashier

DEPARTMENT: Recreation

LOCATION: Overlook Adventure

CLASSIFICATION: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

WAGE: $15.00/hour

POSITION FOCUS

Responsible for maintaining safety and overseeing all operations of the miniature golf course; including answering questions, maintaining cleanliness and accurate cash handling. Must be available to work evenings and weekends.

SUPERVISORY RELATIONSHIPS

Reports to the Aquatics and Overlook Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
  • Stocks and displays concession products for sale to patrons and replenishes, as necessary
  • Prepares concession products, as directed
  • Serves concession patrons and collects payment for their purchases
  • Wipes off counters and concession equipment throughout the day
  • Cleans tables and sweeps the concession area used by patrons
  • Empties trash cans and replaces with new trash can liners
  • Notifies the Manager when the supply of concession products is low
  • Follows all appropriate local and state health department rules and regulation
  • Admits paying customers with a smile
  • Completes all necessary cash and inventory forms
  • Gives information about the rules and policies when requested
  • Attends work on a regular basis
  • Receives all incoming telephone calls
  • Handles customers in a friendly and polite manager
  • Arrange for substitutes and notifies supervisor of changes
  • Performs the job safely and in compliance with District policies, procedures, work and safety rules, and the employee handbook
  • Completes and submits time sheets for payroll on a bi-weekly basis
  • Wears appropriate clothing/uniform and is properly groomed
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment
  • Additional functions may be essential
MARGINAL JOB DUTIES
  • Disinfects the concession equipment and area, as directed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Pull weeds, power wash and anything else specified by manager or supervisors.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
  • Basic understanding of the computer system
  • Ability to maintain cash controls
  • Ability to respond to inquiries and requests received from the general public
  • Capacity to provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers
  • Good knowledge of pertinent safety precautions
  • Ability to maintain positive and effective working relationships with supervisors and co-workers

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
  • High school student, high school graduate or G.E.D.
  • Minimum age of 16 is required
  • Or, any equivalent combination of education, experience and training
HOURS
  • Sunday through Saturday, varied hours based on the facility’s hours of operation, with work hours designated by the Recreation Supervisor or the manager
  • Overtime, as needed
  • Employee may work a combination of daytime, evening, split shift, weekend and holiday hours
  • Employee is considered to be on duty whenever the need exists

  • General work area is inside the clubhouse and outside Overlook Adventure Park
  • Exposure to noise distractions from employees or equipment operation in adjacent work areas

  • Exposure to chronic infectious disease while performing routine first aid or emergency procedures
  • Protective clothing and equipment is required as it pertains to the particular job duty:
