SUMMARYManages a wide variety of activities by performing the following duties personally within Scovill Park, Scovill Gift Shop, Scovill Zoo, and Concession. This position will be part-time employment and may end after the Zoo closes for the season.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOther duties may be assigned.
BATH AND TRASH- Responsible for garbage in and out of the zoo.
- Responsible for cleaning of bathrooms in and out of the zoo.
- Maintain inventories of supplies for concession, pop machines, and paper products.
- Helps set up and cleans Education Center for rentals.
- Responsible for cleaning of the gift shop area.
- Responsible for setting out, pricing, and arranging gift shop area in a neat and orderly manner.
- Handles the opening and closing of the gift shop and train registers.
- Responsible for cleaning of the concession area.
- Responsible for group meal deals or shaved ice.
- Handles the opening and closing of the concession and train registers.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCEComputer experience required.
LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate with visitors effectively.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and sales tax. Ability to count money.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
