Position Summary
We are seeking entry-level, part-time sales associates for pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging with customers, and processing sales, loans, and other transactions. The associates will work with a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.
The position offers hourly pay plus commission based on productivity.
Pay ranges are listed as $15.00 to $18.00 per hour, with an easily achievable commission structure for every transaction processed. UP TO 8% commission on transactions may apply, potentially averaging extra pay on top of the hourly rate.

- Greet and interact with customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Perform non-management open/close procedures.
- Keep the sales floor clean, stocked, and maintain merchandise displays.
- Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handle cash and negotiable items in line with policies and procedures.
- Answer incoming calls per company standards.
- Explain the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers; contribute to a positive team environment.
- Complete assigned training successfully.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, walking, stooping, climbing, etc.).
- Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
- May assist customers on exterior of the building or retrieve products stored externally.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team-oriented; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations; cash handling experience preferred.
- Computer literacy and ability to operate POS systems and common office machines.
- Must be able to work at multiple locations as needed and on a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Commission Plan InformationThe employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2-8% commission, based on the gross profit of personal performance. More details are provided during the interview process.
