Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills and establish retailer relationships while representing Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed.
Salary and Schedule Details- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00 – $17.00 per hour, depending on your skills and experience.
- Paid training is provided through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.
- Part‑time employees (less than 30 hours) have access to voluntary benefits, including medical, dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage (preventive care).
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule; average weekly hours are between 9–18 hours.
- Availability during the week before and after major holidays (including weekends) and to support seasonal change‑overs, extended services, installations, and inventory support is required.
- Perform service work in the Hallmark department and elsewhere within various retail stores (grocery, drug, department, mass retailers). Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory using a mobile device provided by Hallmark.
- Utilize technology for daily tasks, communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising surveys.
- Maintain professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers.
- Support seasonal demand by providing additional hours and days during holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. You may be required to work on the holiday itself, including weekends.
- Participate in department resets and installations, including building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments, and resetting card sections. Removable assignments will be communicated at least two weeks in advance and may include evenings or weekends.
- Assist other merchandisers as needed, fostering a collaborative team environment.
This role requires consistent physical activity: lifting, pulling, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures weighing up to 30 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds occasionally. You must kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day and be able to climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- At least 18 years of age.
- Proficient reading, writing, and understanding of English.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Operational proficiency with a digital handheld device for reading documents and interpreting information.
- Reliable Wi‑Fi network and internet access.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
