Distributor Sales Representative – Magid
Magid is a leading manufacturer, distributor, and importer of hand protection and safety products. Distributor Sales Representative partners with a dynamic distributor network that resells our industry‑leading safety solutions.
About the RoleFocus on growing revenue within assigned accounts by uncovering strategic opportunities and leveraging Magid’s proven selling techniques, exceptional service, expansive product portfolio, and innovative technology solutions.
Essential Responsibilities- Manage and grow assigned distributor territory
- Promote a broad industrial product portfolio – effectively sell and support a catalog of more than 30,000 industrial products to wholesale distributors
- Order processing and account support – accurately receive, review, and process purchase orders from distributors
- Provide timely and accurate pricing information – prepare and deliver verbal, written, and email price quotations
- Maintain daily distributor engagement – conduct daily outbound calls to distributors using a Contact Management Database
- Support new product introductions – educate distributors on new product launches
- Collaborate internally to enhance customer experience – work closely with internal teams such as customer service, operations, and product management
- 1‑year previous experience handling customer inquiries, processing orders, or supporting sales growth in a phone‑based or inside sales environment
- Background working with industrial, safety, manufacturing, or related product lines is desirable
- Familiarity with CRM or contact management systems for managing leads, tracking communications, and documenting sales activities
- High school diploma required;
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related fields is preferred
- Oral Communication – clearly explain product features, technical details, and ordering procedures
- Written Communication – draft professional emails, letters, and documentation for customers, including quotes and follow‑up correspondence
- Computer Proficiency – working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience using business systems such as AS400
- Organization & Time Management – prioritize tasks, manage multiple distributor accounts simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
- Ability to Work Under Pressure – comfortably handle multiple requests, urgent deadlines, and high‑volume phone interactions while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
