- Install electrical systems and equipment: wiring, conduit systems, and electrical components.
- Maintain and repair electrical systems: perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair or replace faulty components.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to plan and execute electrical installations and repairs.
- Follow electrical codes and safety procedures to ensure compliance with national electrical codes.
- Work with high-voltage systems, requiring specialized knowledge and training.
- Install and program electrical equipment such as PLC systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical problems: identify and diagnose electrical issues using testing devices and tools.
- Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand and power tools.
- Conduct quality assurance measures and inspections to meet standards and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Work individually or as part of a team with other specialists and tradespeople.
- Model and analyze electrical systems to identify potential problems or optimize performance.
- Maintain documentation of electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs, including blueprints and schematics.
- Must be able to lift 50 lb.
- Climb stairs and ladders.
- Standing, climbing, kneeling is required for this role.
- Will have to work in inclement weather from time to time.
- Working from heights.
- Must have worked in an industrial electrical work environment.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
- Strong electrical knowledge of electrical systems and troubleshooting.
- Must have worked with medium voltage systems.
- Must have a strong safety culture mindset.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Deep understanding of electrical theory, electronics, and industrial safety codes (NFPA 70E).
- Proficiency with troubleshooting tools, high-voltage equipment, and PLC programming.
- High school diploma or GED, requiring completed apprenticeships or several years of experience in industrial/manufacturing environments.
