Air Duct Cleaner

Description

Cleans air ducts in residential settings using equipment that provides negative air pressure, cutting access holes into ductwork to feed a hose that loosens debris. Clean vent covers and ensure no dust or dirt remains.

Handles cleaning of commercial air ducts either by machine or by crawling through the ducts to loosen all debris.

Qualified candidates must be able to tolerate heights and confined spaces, and have excellent availability to meet short commercial customer schedules.

• Service on-location (both residential and commercial) cleaning appointments.

• Respond to customer concerns (e.g., re‑do’s).
• Master purpose and use of all equipment and materials.
• Maintain working condition of all equipment and materials.
• Take daily inventory on truck.
• Replenish truck needs from warehouse.
• Provide weekly inventory of materials used on each job.
• Clean interior and exterior of vehicle as needed (maintain a clean vehicle as much as possible).
• Handle payment transactions when necessary.
• Perform emergency service work (Water Restoration Division) as needed. Required to be part of the on‑call schedule at least once a month and in an out‑of‑town rotation schedule.
• Assist in new technician training.
• Adhere to all state wage & hour laws (e.g., required 20 minute lunch break during a 7.5 hour working day).
• Estimate all lines of business and submit bids to the Production Manager before approval.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds in front of body and overhead.
• Must be able to crawl or work on hands and knees for short assignments over a continuous period of time.
• Must be able to work on a ladder with hands over head for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to physically tolerate chemicals that fall within approved OSHA standards.
• Must be able to squat while bearing weight.
• Must possess average visual and auditory acuity.
• Must be able to push or pull equipment up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to adapt to rapidly changing work environment.
• Must be able to pass DOT physical.
• Must have a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Must be able to wear a respirator.
• Must be able to withstand changing variances in temperature such as cold or hot weather.
• Must be able to tolerate confined spaces.
• Must be a team player and have a positive attitude and show solid leadership abilities.
