Mental Health Professional – Intensive Placement Stabilization (IPS)
Location: Macon, Piatt, and DeWitt Counties, Illinois
Salary: $45,000–$52,000 annually + every other Friday off (paid wellness day)
Schedule: Full-Time | Every other Friday off (paid wellness day)

- Provide individual and family counseling to youth and foster families.
- Conduct assessments and assist in developing individualized service plans.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions focused on placement stabilization.
- Collaborate with DCFS, foster parents, and community partners to coordinate care.
- Participate in crisis intervention and on‑call rotation as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with DCFS and agency standards.
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and child welfare systems.
- Ability to engage youth and families in a strengths‑based manner.
- Skilled in creative problem‑solving and collaborative approaches to care.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Must meet Illinois Rule 132 criteria for Mental Health Professional (MHP), which includes:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related human services field OR
- Other qualifications as defined by Illinois Administrative Code Rule 132.
- Experience working with youth and families preferred; child welfare experience strongly preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance.
- Minimum age: 21 years.
