Job Description
The Driver will be responsible for transporting food products and food service equipment throughout the school district. They are required to operate a box truck with a lift gate. Drivers in this position must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and operate vehicles under 10,000 lbs; no DOT or CDL is required. Drivers are expected to operate efficiently, consistently, safely, and in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will have exemplary time‑management skills and the ability to adhere to the provided schedule and operational expectations.
Hourly rate: $17.00 to $19.00. If the two numbers are the same, that is the amount offered.

Job Responsibilities- Complete a daily vehicle inspection form before driving and after finishing the route.
- Maintain a pleasant and clean atmosphere inside and outside the vehicle.
- Add safety equipment and always wear a seat belt while driving.
- Operate the company vehicle weighing under 10,000 lbs when transporting supplies and equipment to and from designated locations.
- Drive defensively, safely, and cautiously in all situations.
- Provide exceptional customer service and positively represent the company.
- Pick up and drop off food products and food service equipment at designated locations.
- Be knowledgeable about the property and surrounding areas, acting as a concierge resource for guests.
- Fuel, clean, and inspect the vehicle as required.
- Identify maintenance and safety issues, take corrective actions, and report malfunctions immediately.
- Work with the Logistics Coordinator to ensure special requests and group requests are completed.
- Assist with clerical work, answer phones, act as a dispatcher, and perform other office duties as needed.
- Adhere to the provided schedule and operational expectations.
- Attend all scheduled department and safety meetings.
- Share innovative ideas to improve efficiency and operations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies, energy, and road rules.

Qualifications- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Proficient in operating a box truck with limited visibility, including backing up and maneuvering safely in tight or limited visibility conditions.
- Must communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record showing five years of prior safe driving.
- Must pass a pre‑employment background check.
- Experience driving and ability to perform job duties in all weather conditions, including winter weather.
- Perform physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing. Uniforms and personal protective equipment may be required.
- Work outside in all weather conditions.
