Specialist, Rail Operations – Primient
Primient is a leading producer of food and industrial ingredients from plant‑based renewable sources. We are looking for a Specialist, Rail Operations to support the logistics team, manage the railcar fleet, coordinate repairs, and ensure timely maintenance, regulatory compliance, and efficient rail operations.
About the RoleThis position plays a crucial role in managing our railcar fleet, monitoring maintenance statuses, coordinating mobile repair requests, and ensuring consistent operational performance and timely deliveries. The role directly impacts logistics performance by maintaining a high standard of operational efficiency and supporting communication between parties.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate railcar repairs and minimize downtime by collaborating with repair locations.
- Schedule capital and regulatory maintenance with fleet specialists, shop teams, and Alltranstek.
- Procure railcar parts for plants and contracted maintenance teams.
- Validate and process monthly invoices from RAS Data Services.
- Analyze rail fleet data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for cost reduction.
- Prepare and distribute monthly cost reports for the rail fleet.
- Associate’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field (required).
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
- Experience using data analysis tools such as Excel (required).
- 1+ year experience in manufacturing (preferred).
- Experience with SAP systems and Rail Trac or other rail tracing system (preferred).
The annual pay range is $75,746.40–$94,683.00 and is bonus eligible. Benefits include:
