About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Fleet Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance operations of a diverse fleet of commercial trucks and hydraulic equipment. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for ensuring maximum fleet uptime, maintaining safety and compliance standards, and overseeing a team of technicians in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of diesel trucks, hydraulic systems, preventative maintenance programs, and fleet operations, along with proven leadership experience.

- Schedule and prioritize preventative maintenance and repairs
- Ensure maximum fleet uptime while minimizing repair costs
- Oversee maintenance of Class 6-8 trucks, trailers, hydraulic systems, and related equipment
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
- Manage work orders, maintenance records, and repair documentation
- Monitor parts inventory and coordinate purchasing with vendors
- Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company safety standards
- Coordinate outside vendors for specialized repairs when necessary
- Track maintenance KPIs, labor efficiency, and equipment performance
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and fleet replacement planning
- Respond to emergency breakdowns and operational priorities as needed
- 5+ years of fleet maintenance experience, including supervisory or lead technician responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and hydraulic equipment
- Experience maintaining vocational trucks, refuse trucks, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, heavy equipment, or similar commercial fleets preferred
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or fleet management software
- Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and hydraulic schematics
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Valid driver s license; CDL is a plus
- ASE certifications or equivalent technical certifications are preferred
