Position Overview

Position Title:

Industrial Painter
- Powder Application Wage: $24.50-$28.00/hour Starting pay based on experience

Shift: 2nd

Hours:

3:00pm-12:00am, Some Saturday OT required

QPS Employment Group is hiring an Industrial Painter
- Powder Application for a company in Decatur, IL. This is a direct hire opportunity on 2nd shift.

• Prepare parts for powder coating through cleaning, masking, hanging, and surface preparation processes
• Set up and operate powder coating equipment and related systems
• Mix, load, and monitor powder materials to ensure proper application and finish quality
• Use thickness gauges, gloss gauges, and other measuring equipment to verify coating specifications
• Apply primers, specialty coatings, and finish coats as required
• Inspect finished products to ensure compliance with customer and company quality standards
• Perform color changes, equipment adjustments, and routine maintenance of spray equipment
• Maintain curing ovens and monitor coating processes to ensure proper adhesion and finish
• Clean spray booths, equipment, and work areas to maintain a safe and efficient environment
• Safely handle coating materials and follow all environmental, health, and safety regulations
• Wear required PPE and follow all company safety procedures

• Previous powder coating or industrial painting experience preferred
• Experience operating electrostatic powder coating equipment
• Knowledge of coating thickness measurements and quality standards
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and production specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift, stand, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
