A Day in the Life:

This position is located in the Bunge North America soybean processing plant in Decatur, IN. The Refined Oil Relief Operator is responsible for the safe operation of the degumming, refining and utility processes in the Refined Oil Department. Candidates must actively participate in Bunge’s Employee Safety Policy and maintain a safe work environment for self and all employees.

This position covers other operator’s vacation on all shifts. Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, and 2nd and 3rd shifts.

Hourly pay rate: $32.30

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Complete daily walk throughs to check equipment and tank levels
• Pull samples and check filters
• Load and unload tankers
• Operate production equipment to fill containers, blow filters out, check oil flow
• Report any concerns with safe food practices
• Monitor and document equipment readings
• Communicate process and equipment deficiencies with other operators, maintenance personnel and supervisors
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic computer and mechanical skills
• Ability to work safely and follow policies and procedures
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Willing to work overtime, flexible hours, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to work 2nd / 3rd shift

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous experience in an industrial environment
