Overview
The RN - Pre/Post/PACU role involves coordinating and delivering comprehensive care to surgical patients throughout preoperative and postoperative stages, including recovery from anesthesia. This includes assessment, monitoring, and intervention, as well as providing education and support to patients and their families, while acting as a liaison between the surgical team and support systems. The role emphasizes a multidisciplinary approach to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
The RN - Pre/Post/PACU partakes in administering IV therapies, inserting and monitoring IV lines, and performing outpatient procedures such as dressing changes, PICC line care, and Foley catheter changes. All duties are performed within the Pre/Post/Ambulatory Department, requiring close collaboration with the healthcare team to deliver quality patient care.
Administer IV therapies and insert/monitor IV lines. Perform outpatient procedures such as dressing changes, PICC line care, and Foley catheter changes. Coordinate and deliver care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases, including recovery from anesthesia. Act as a liaison between the surgical team and support systems. Provide education and support to patients and families. Promote patient safety and contribute to multidisciplinary care planning to achieve optimal outcomes.
Requirements- 36 hours per week - First Shift
- 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
- 12 Hour Shifts per Week
- (4) On-Call Shifts per Month
- On-Call Weekend Rotation
- Valid RN license in the State of Indiana
- Previous Pre/Post/PACU Experience
- Previous Critical Care Experience
Eligible for medical coverage on your first day of employment; all other benefits will be effective the 1st of the month following hire date. This position is eligible for a $20,000 sign-on bonus.
