Job Description
The Part-Time Communications and Administrative Support Assistant provides administrative, communications, and logistical support for Luther College's grant-funded vocation integration initiative. This position coordinates meetings and workshops, communicates with project participants, tracks grant expenditures, supports digital storytelling efforts, and assists with project implementation.
Wage: $15.00
This is a part-time position averaging 10 hours per week for approximately 30 weeks annually. This temporary position is funded through an external grant and is contingent upon continued grant funding.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES- Coordinate logistics for workshops, meetings, and other grant-related events.
- Schedule monthly and quarterly meetings, individual consultations, and project activities.
- Communicate with faculty, staff, and project participants regarding updates, deadlines, and events.
- Support digital storytelling efforts by collecting, organizing, and sharing project highlights and participant experiences.
- Maintain project records, meeting notes, and related administrative documentation.
- Track grant expenditures, maintain budget records, and prepare documentation to support grant reporting and compliance.
- Assist with purchasing, reimbursements, and other administrative processes related to grant activities.
- Provide general administrative support to ensure successful implementation of grant activities.

- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary coursework preferred. - Experience:
- Previous administrative support, office coordination, marketing/communications, or customer service experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office; experience with Canva or Adobe Pro, social media, or other digital communication platforms preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, alumni, parents, and friends of the college.
- Work is primarily performed in an office environment with frequent computer use.
- Occasional lifting of materials up to 20 pounds and movement between campus locations for meetings or events may be required.
