  Hospital travel assignment in Decorah, IA

• Prepare sterile fields and equipment setup for General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OB/GYN, Podiatry, Urology, and Dental cases
• Maintain aseptic technique, pass instruments, and assist the surgical team during procedures
• Perform sponge and instrument counts, handle specimens, and ensure proper instrument turnover
• Assist with draping, positioning, and equipment as needed; support patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with perioperative staff to troubleshoot case needs and manage supplies
• Participate in on‑call coverage within the required radius and adhere to holiday call rotations

• Education:
  
  Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
• Certification:
  Surgical Technologist Certification preferred
• Licensure/Training:
  State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter training
• Certification:
  American Heart Association BLS required
• Experience:
  
  Experience in General Surgery, Orthopedics, ENT, OB-GYN, Podiatry, Urology, and Dental procedures
• Availability:
  Ability to work in a hospital setting and meet on‑call requirements within 30 minutes of the assignment location
