Operations Supervisor – Onsite Salary Exempt

Job location:

Decorah, IA, USA.

Percentage of travel expected: 10%.

As an Operations Supervisor, you will be part of our manufacturing team working onsite.

• Direct assigned hourly team members in assigned areas of the site necessary to the manufacture, package, and shipment of fasteners. Ensure compliance with safety policies & procedures, quality products, production and housekeeping standards.
• Focus on lean manufacturing, process improvement, and team building.
• Ensure safe and healthy working conditions, reduce or eliminate industrial accidents and health hazards, compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Organize and manage team to meet production and delivery expectations while maximizing labor, skills, knowledge, experience and capabilities. Focus on cross training and skill diversity.
• Accept, update and follow through on assigned projects in a timely manner.
• Evaluate manufacturing, sorting, packaging and shipping related problems and take corrective action.
• Develop and drive cost savings using continuous improvement & lean methodologies. Ensure team member compliance to all operations procedures and documented processes. Address non‑conformities.
• Administer HR policies, procedures and disciplinary administration in a non‑union environment.
• Maintain knowledge of equipment and operations under your area of responsibility.
• Understand IATF
  16949 and ISO
  14001 requirements. Assist in writing, reviewing, updating and training of related procedures.
• Maintain good working relationships with other departments, company employees, customers, suppliers, and the community.

• High school diploma or GED.

• Prior leadership experience.
• Knowledge of current software used in manufacturing and warehouse areas.
• Gaging/SPC knowledge.
• Customer knowledge.
• Product knowledge.

Salary range: $70,000‑$75,000 per year.
