Sort Machine Sort Operator

Sort Machine Operator – 3rd Shift, M‑F 11 pm – 7 am

Pay Rate: $20.28 per hour

• Set up and run all automatic sorting machines (Mectron, Kotsu, Retina, CCM, Dowel Pin, Roll Sorters, and internal machines) according to current quality standards.
• Box, label, and pallet products.
• Adjust machine sensors, table, and rollers; run fasteners through sorting machines, ensuring parts meet blueprint specifications.
• Use micrometer, caliper, and dial gauges to regularly check “good” parts against blueprint specs.
• Identify defects not captured by the sorting machines.
• Set counters to reflect required pieces per box per customer requirements.
• Log sorted parts with part number, quantity, customer, and time required.
• Operate sorting equipment with minimal supervision and demonstrate leadership.
• Train other employees on machine sorters.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area and follow all safety policies.
• Assist in other warehouse areas as needed (bagging, packaging, shipping).
• Perform equipment maintenance: clean machine sensors and cameras, grease machines at required intervals.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to read blueprints.
• Proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and dial gauges.
• Knowledge of IATF
  16949 and ISO
  14001 requirements.

• Knowledge of electro‑mechanical equipment (fiber optics and vision sorters).
• Knowledge of fasteners.
• Previous experience on similar machine sort equipment.
