- Set up all pre‑existing and new products and run all automatic sorting machines according to current quality standards. The sorting machines include:
Mectron, Kotsu, Retina, CCM, Dowel Pin, Roll Sorters and our internal sorting machines. - Box, label, and pallet products.
- Set up automatic sorting machine, adjusting the machine sensors, machine table, and rollers.
- Run fasteners through the sorting machine, ensuring parts meet blueprint specifications and follow the sorting "hot" schedule.
- Use micrometer, caliper, and dial gauges to regularly check "good" parts to ensure they continue to meet blueprint specs.
- Recognize defects in parts that the sorting machine cannot distinguish.
- Prior to run, set counters to reflect required pieces per box and per customer requirements.
- After each sort run, log list of parts sorted indicating part number, pieces, customer and time required to sort.
- Demonstrate leadership and self‑motivated skills on all machine sorting equipment.
- Train other employees to operate any/all of the machine sorters.
- Perform housekeeping and safety duties: maintain cleanliness of work area, follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Assist in other areas of the warehouse as time requires (bagging parts, packaging parts and shipping).
- Perform equipment maintenance: clean machine, sensors, cameras, table and rollers; grease machine at required intervals.
- Perform other duties as requested by the Supervisor or Lead person.
- Must be available to work overtime.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ability to read micrometers, calipers, and use dial gauges.
- Knowledge of IATF
16949 and ISO
14001 requirements.
- Knowledge of electro‑mechanical equipment (fiber optics and vision sorters).
- Knowledge of fasteners.
- Previous experience on similar machine sort equipment.
- Other essential skills for operating similar equipment.
