Immediate opening for a full time Commercial Journeyman HVAC Service Technician

WHV, Inc., an Equal Opportunity Employer, is seeking an experienced Journeyman-level Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for professionals with strong commercial HVAC knowledge, excellent technical skills, and a commitment to high‑quality service and customer relationships.

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain a wide variety of commercial HVAC systems.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on HVAC and control systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and low-voltage control issues.
• Interpret and work from blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding service performed and recommended solutions.
• Complete accurate and timely service documentation.
• Install and service building automation systems.
• Follow all safety regulations, building codes, and company procedures.
• Participate in on‑call rotation as needed.

• Journeyman HVAC license (Iowa or ability to obtain reciprocity).
• Strong blueprint‑reading skills and experience with a wide variety of commercial HVAC and control systems.
• Background in electrical systems and wiring diagrams required.
• Positive attitude, strong mechanical aptitude, and a customer‑focused mindset.
• EPA, Boiler, and Low Voltage Wiring licenses are beneficial but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in various indoor/outdoor environments.
• Background and/or experience in testing, adjusting and balancing a plus, but not required.
• Wages commensurate with experience.
• Company vehicle (take home every night), phone/tablet are provided.
