Boston 25 News (WFXT) has an exciting new opportunity for a full-time Sports Multimedia Journalist. We are looking for a self-starter who can fill a variety of roles in our lineup, covering Boston's legendary pro franchises, historic colleges, and robust high school sports scene. Did we mention the 2026 World Cup, right in our backyard?

In this position, you will be required to produce daily content on a variety of platforms, including broadcast, digital, and social media, along with other duties as assigned by the news managers. You may work with a photographer or occasionally shoot stories on your own. It is essential to possess strong writing skills, knowledge of current events, and a passion for sports.

You will be required to stay abreast of the main sports angles of the day, pitch enterprise stories and compelling features, and help guide the producers on how best to use your content. Dynamic live television and storytelling skills are a must. You may also be assigned to produce and anchor live sportscasts.

• A self-starter who can generate his or her own story ideas daily.
• Ability to demonstrate enterprise reporting and creativity in storytelling.
• Must be skilled at shooting, writing, and editing content
• Ability to cultivate and maintain an active social media presence
• Knowledge of local and regional sports teams and programs and their schedules.
• Must work well under pressure with tight deadlines and be willing to work overtime or weekends
• The ability to work independently as well as work and collaborate with a team

• Bachelor's degree in journalism or a related discipline or equivalent years of experience
• At least 3 years of reporting live and anchoring in a medium to large market
• Experience with HD video cameras, tripod use, and cell phone skills
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Knowledge of AVID editing, content tools like Canva or Cap Cut, and I-News is a big plus.
