Job DescriptionEducational Support Professional
The Dedham Public Schools, home to America’s first tax supported, free public school, is looking for a Special Education Educational Support Professional.
Responsibilties:- Implement individualized IEP plans
- Collect data on student learning and behavior goals
- Facilitate inclusion in general education classrooms and work within a substantially separate program
- supervise students in all environments
- Collaborate with and participate in consulatation with special education teacher and related service providers
- ability to work with a multi disciplinary team to support students across the curriculum
- ability to shift instruction and provide content specific and behavioral support and interventions ability to accept and implement directions
- ability to be flexible with job assignments as needed

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS- Consistent and dependable attendance
- Frequent standing
- Significant amounts of walking
- Paraprofessionals may be required to escort the student(s) to different classrooms, to recess (if applicable), and to field trips, in addition to managing the student(s) activity level
The school environment can be high-energy and moderately noisy. Before/after school, recess and field trips may require time outdoors in inclement weather.
