Overview
Electrical Hardware Design Engineer — Dedham, MA. Pay Estimated: $69.97-$74.97/Hour. Active Secret Clearance Required to Start.
Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.
Responsibilities- Perform requirements analysis, architecture development, and schematic capture
- Define high-speed routing constraints and direct PCB/PWB layout and routing activities
- Support manufacturing, integration & test (I&T), and hardware qualification
- Conduct and support signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, suppliers, and customers to meet program and performance objectives
- Primarily support the Cyber business area, with opportunities
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM discipline - Security Clearance:
Active DoD Secret clearance required at time of hire - Experience:
- 5+ years of relevant hardware engineering experience OR
- Master’s degree + 3 years of related experience
- Technical Expertise:
- Circuit card design using advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high-speed interfaces
- High-speed digital and high-density PCB design incorporating embedded processors and/or FPGAs
- Siemens / Mentor Graphics Xpedition (schematic entry, constraint manager)
- Hyper Lynx SI/PI analysis
- Designs utilizing fiber-optic interfaces
- Advanced use of laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, Ethernet/network testers)
- Full hardware development lifecycle experience on DoD or aerospace programs
- Development of mission computers, sensor processors, or ruggedized embedded hardware
- Independent technical execution on complex designs with minimal oversight
